Whispers

On Saturday 9 February I will be reading from The Promise of Iceland at Whispers, described by organisers QWC as "a monthly salon event celebrating the talented voices of new and emerging Queensland writers of fiction and creative non-fiction". From the QWC website:

Whispers cuts across genre and style - short and long form - to showcase exciting new voices alongside some of Queensland’s best loved authors in a series of dynamic reading events. Relax in The Library Café as a diverse snapshot of writers share their works, and connect with passionate readers and writers as we celebrate the unique stories and voices that define Queensland.

The first Whispers for 2013 will be held on Saturday 9 February. Join QLD Literary Awards People's Choice Award shortlister Kári Gíslason (The Promise of Iceland), alongside special guests poet Julie Beveridge, blogger and columnist Michelle Law, and short fiction writers, Claire Alcock and Andrew Last, as they share their tales of love and other lost things
